A dental clinic website has exactly one job: take a stranger who is anxious, comparing three clinics and holding a phone, and turn them into a confirmed appointment. Almost every clinic site in India fails at this, and it usually fails for reasons that have nothing to do with how the site looks.
This page is the whole method, written out. If you read it and decide to build the site yourself, that is a fine outcome — everything here works whoever implements it.
What a dental website is actually for
Ask most dentists what their website is for and the answer is “so people can find us”. That is a description of a phone book, and it is why so many clinic sites underperform.
A patient arriving on your site has already found you. They are there to answer four questions, in this order:
- Is this a real, competent clinic? Credentials, registration, photographs of the actual premises, reviews.
- Do they do the specific thing I need? Not “general dentistry” — the exact treatment they searched for, described in the words they used.
- What will it cost and how long will it take? Silence here loses more patients than a high number does.
- How do I book, right now, without talking to anyone? A significant share of dental research happens after 9pm.
Every design decision below follows from those four questions. A site that answers all four converts three to five times better than one that answers none, on identical traffic.
The nine elements that decide whether someone books
These are ordered by impact, from the audits we run on clinic sites across Delhi NCR.
1. Speed on mobile, on a real connection
The single biggest killer. Typical Indian clinic sites take five to seven seconds to become usable on 4G. Google's own research puts the bounce probability at over 100% higher when load time goes from one second to five. A hand-built site should be interactive in under a second. Page-builder plugins, carousel sliders and unoptimised hero images are the usual culprits.
2. A booking path visible without scrolling
On mobile, at the top of the screen, at all times. In India that means two things side by side: a WhatsApp button and an appointment form. Phone-only loses every patient who is researching at night or at work.
3. Doctor credentials in front, not on an About page
Name, BDS or MDS, university, years in practice, DCI registration number, specialisation. One photograph of the actual doctor. This costs nothing and moves conversion more than any visual redesign.
4. Real photographs of the clinic
Reception, the operatory, the sterilisation area, the equipment. Six honest photographs from a phone outperform a stock library, because a patient’s underlying question is “is this place clean and legitimate”, and stock photography cannot answer it.
5. One page per treatment, in patient language
A single “Services” page listing twelve treatments ranks for none of them. A dedicated page for dental implants, one for clear aligners, one for root canal treatment — each written around what that patient is actually anxious about — is how you show up for the searches that carry real value.
6. Honest pricing bands
Not a fixed price. A range, plus a plain explanation of what moves it. “Single implant: ₹25,000–₹45,000 depending on the implant system and whether bone grafting is needed.” Clinics that publish ranges report fewer enquiries and more bookings, because price-shoppers self-select out and serious patients arrive pre-qualified.
7. Reviews on the page, not just on Google
Pull your genuine Google reviews onto the treatment pages, near the booking button. Doubt peaks at the moment of action; that is where proof belongs.
8. A directions block that works
An embedded map, the landmark people actually navigate by, parking information, and metro or bus proximity. In NCR, “where exactly is this and can I park” is a real objection.
9. After-hours coverage
An AI assistant trained on your treatments, timings and pricing, or at minimum an auto-responder that sets an expectation. The clinic that replies at 11:04pm gets the patient.
What dental website design costs in India in 2026
Honest ranges, from what we see quoted across the market:
| Option | Typical cost | What you actually get |
|---|---|---|
| DIY builder (Wix, WordPress theme) | ₹0–₹15,000/yr | A site that exists. Usually slow, rarely ranks, no booking logic. Your time is the real cost. |
| Freelancer | ₹10,000–₹30,000 | Highly variable. Often a theme with your logo on it. No SEO, no content strategy, support ends at handover. |
| Generalist agency | ₹60,000–₹2,50,000 | Good design, real project management. They learn dentistry on your budget, and timelines run to months. |
| Dental-only studio | ₹8,000–₹60,000 | Someone who already knows why an implant enquiry behaves differently from a cleaning. Faster, because nothing is being figured out from scratch. |
| Monthly “free website” deals | ₹3,000–₹8,000/mo forever | You never own it. Leaving means starting over. Over three years this is the most expensive option on the list. |
Our own pricing: a single-page clinic site starts at ₹8,000; a full multi-page build with local SEO, treatment pages and booking typically lands between ₹25,000 and ₹60,000. We scope per clinic instead of selling packages — the pricing page has the detail.
The only calculation that matters
- A single implant case in NCR is worth roughly ₹25,000–₹45,000.
- A full-mouth rehabilitation is worth several lakhs.
- If a website produces one additional implant case, it has paid for itself and most of the year’s marketing with it.
- Which means the real question is not “what does it cost” but “how many extra cases will it produce”.
WordPress, Wix, or hand-built?
The platform matters less than people think, and more than agencies admit.
WordPress is fine when built carefully and catastrophic when built with a page builder plus fifteen plugins — which is how the overwhelming majority of clinic sites are built. It also needs maintenance you will not do, and an unpatched WordPress site is a genuine security liability when it holds patient enquiry data.
Wix and Squarespace are quick and self-serviceable. They are slower than a hand-built site, they limit technical SEO control, and you are renting the platform permanently.
Hand-built (which is what we do) means plain HTML, CSS and a small amount of JavaScript on a global CDN. Nothing to update, nothing to hack, sub-second load times, complete control over schema and markup. The trade-off is that you cannot restructure whole pages yourself — though for a clinic site, which changes maybe four times a year, that is rarely the constraint people expect it to be.
How our seven-day build works
You send your current URL. We send back a five-minute video showing what is losing you enquiries. Yours to keep whether or not you hire us.
Thirty minutes. Which treatments should lead, who your actual patient is, what your competitors are doing well.
You see and approve the homepage design before any balance is due, and before development starts.
Every page hand-built. Content written, schema added, Google Business Profile set up or repaired, booking and WhatsApp wired in.
Live, submitted to Search Console and Bing, with analytics running. Thirty days of changes included.
You spend roughly two hours in total across the week. We handle the rest, including writing the content.
Location-specific guidance
The competitive picture changes considerably across Delhi NCR — different search behaviour, different price expectations, different levels of saturation. We have written up each market separately:
- Dental website design in Noida — the most saturated sector-level market in NCR.
- Dental website design in Delhi — colony-level search and premium positioning.
- Dental website design in Gurgaon — high-ticket corporate patients, chain-clinic competition.
- Greater Noida and Noida Extension — the open early-mover market.
- Ghaziabad, Indirapuram and Vaishali — price-aware, trust-led decisions.
